Beam reads the sample payment request, resolves the recipient, and shows a review before confirmation.

Open a conversation with an amount and recipient, then tap the floating Beam. It reads the visible text exposed by Android. You can paste details if the app hides its text.

Review the amount and ENS recipient. The device resolves the name again and checks the payment. A request above the cap, to certain new recipients or from an external agent can require World ID.

Confirm separately on your phone. BeamPay routes the payment on the configured testnet. The preview above uses sample messages and receipts.

What is Beam?

Beam is an Android wallet with a floating button over other apps. Tap it to read visible text, check a suspicious message or prepare a test payment. You review and confirm before anything is sent.

Does it work in WhatsApp, email and Telegram?

These are sample screens. Beam can read text that Android accessibility exposes when you tap it. You can paste the payment details if a screen does not expose its text.

What network does Beam pay on?

The Android app settles in USDC on Arc. The browser demo above lets you compare example EVM testnets, but the app uses the single payment network in its build.

What is BeamPay?

BeamPay is Beam’s onchain contract on Arc. It forwards each USDC payment and emits a receipt. Payments above your cap need an EIP-712 approval signed after a World ID check, which the contract verifies before it will move funds.

Can I set spending limits?

Yes. An onchain per-payment cap and a daily limit apply to every payment. Anything over the cap requires a fresh World ID approval, enforced by the BeamPay contract.

Can I pay someone by ENS name?

Yes. Beam resolves the name and rechecks it on your phone. With World ID linked and registration configured, you can also claim a Beam ENS subname.

When do I need World ID?

Beam asks for World ID when a payment is above your cap, comes from an external agent, meets the threshold for a first-time recipient, or a previously paid ENS name points to a different address. You still confirm on your phone.

Can Scam Shield guarantee a payment is safe?

Scam Shield explains signals such as urgency, requests for secrets and pay-to-receive traps. Check the recipient and amount yourself.

Can an external agent spend on its own?

No. An MCP agent can only propose a payment that opens for review on your phone. The request always needs your World ID approval and a separate device confirmation.

How do I connect an agent?

Beam runs a hosted MCP server over streamable HTTP. Add it to Claude Code or Codex with one command pointing at your Beam server URL and wallet — no stdio and no API key. The tools can inspect recipients, read your balance and propose payments you approve.

Can a screen or agent trick Beam into paying?

Beam treats screen text and agent messages as untrusted. Instructions hidden in them — “ignore previous instructions”, fake system prompts, a swapped recipient — can’t change what Beam does or redirect a payment. Preparing a payment is always a separate action you take, confirmed with your fingerprint.

Can I use voice?

Beam uses the Android speech dialog for input and can read review details aloud. Voice input can prepare a request. Approve it separately on your phone.

How can I install the Android app?

Beam’s repository provides the Android source and build instructions. Open Android setup for the prerequisites and checklist.

Do the website demos move funds?

The site runs local examples with sample recipients and receipts. No wallet or funds are needed.
